School is almost out and summer near and now is that time of year to make that hard decision. Which beach to go to. No worries friends! We have the top 5 Beaches of 2019 listed below!

1. Baia do Sancho, Brazil

Baia do Sancho, Brazil

Baia do Sancho, a beach on the small island of Fernando de Noronha off of Brazil, is consistently ranked one of the world's best beaches. In fact, it was #1 on TripAdvisor for years.

Having had the good fortune to visit earlier this year, I can say that the laurels are well-deserved. However, I had no idea what an adventure it would be to get there...

The island of Fernando de Noronha is a schlep in and of itself. About an hour from mainland Brazil, flights only leave from two cities, Recife and Natal, and they are anything but frequent.

The archipelago of volcanic islands was Brazil's first Marine Park, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As such, you'll have to pay an environmental tax just to get in.

Where to stay? In Noronha, you will find both fancy hostels and family inns. To move around the island more easily, the best choice is to stay in the small center area, close to the Vila dos Remedios (or Remedy Village in English).

2. Varadero Beach, Cuba

Varadero Beach, Cuba

Its more than 20 km of excellent beaches, white a broad strip of fine, white sand along the shoreline, and a continental shelf that softly sinks into a warm, crystalclear sea of the most varied of blues, are the chief tourist attractions of Varadero, a tourist city that is presently well-positioned in the International circuits.

These natural wonders are enriched and complemented by the existence of numerous caves, cliffs, and lagoons. Also, pristine, easy to reach keys and other interesting natural surroundings on the peninsula's easternmost tip, in addition to a set of cultural, historical, and environmental sites provided by the nearby cities of Matanzas and Cardenas and the Zapata Swamp Biosphere Reserve.

The weather in Varadero is nice, little rain, and low humidity are among the conditions that make Varadero an ideal spot the year around.

The city of Varadero which extends over 14.4 square km and has a population of approximately 8.000, accounts for 55% of each hotel rooms in Cuba.

And because everywhere is within reach in the city and resort, the visitor feels constantly invited to move around, be it walking along any of the 5 Avenues that run the peninsula: Kawama, Primera, Playa, Las Americas, and Autopista del Sur, boarding a tourist train, or driving a car, a moped or a bicycle, or even taking one of these old, horse drawn coaches.

3. Eagle Beach, Aruba

Eagle Beach, Aruba

Boasting the widest beach in Aruba and famous for its pristine and soft white sands, Eagle Beach offers a clear Caribbean, ample parking, shaded areas, some beach huts, and a variety of water sports..

Eagle Beach is home to two of the most photographed and renowned fofoti trees in Aruba, with its trademark silhouette pointing in the direction of the Caribbean. These trees have been starring in various Aruba advertising campaigns as unique and highly recognizable features.

During weekends Aruba beach tennis fanatics play their tennis games in the powdery white sands of Eagle Beach. It’s great fun to watch and participate in this popular local sport.

Several of the Aruba low rise hotels are nearby or just across the road. Some provide cabanas and lounges for their guests.

Fun facts: Every year during Easter week in Aruba, local families enjoy the tradition of camping on the beach.

Four species of sea turtles nest in Aruba; most turtle nests are found on Eagle Beach.

4. La Concha Beach, Spain

La Concha Beach, Spain

The Concha beach or the “Playa de la Concha” is without a doubt the most symbolic beach of the coastal city San Sebastián, in the Basque Country. The beach is located in the Concha bay and many times it is referred to as the most beautiful city beach of Europe.

La Concha belongs to the best city beaches around the whole world (the second best city beach according to Travel and Leisure Magazine). The “Donostiarras” or the citizens of “Donostia”, which is the Basque name for San Sebastián, surely are lucky people. In this article we provide you with some advice and information about the bay and we want to make sure you will enjoy your San Sebastián holidays to the fullest.

La Concha is the most centrally located beach of San Sebastián. It is located in the stunningly beautiful, shell shaped Concha bay. The shape of the bay explains the name “Concha” that has been given to it. On one side of the bay you will find the Urgull mountain, next to the harbour and the city hall, and on the other side of the shell you will find the Igueldo mountain. From the city hall you can get to the golden sand beach and the clear blue water in less than a minute. A real luxury, in our opinion!

The Concha beach is very spacious. It has a length of 1350 meters and an average width of 40 meters. We say average, since the tides can strongly influence the size of this beach on the Atlantic Ocean. On the picture above you can see the Concha beach during the yearly film festival (“Cine”), but we can assure you that these pretty painting will drown when the tide is high!

5. Grace Bay Beach, Turks and Caicos

Grace Bay Beach, Turks and Caicos

This 13-mile stretch of sand is the most popular beachfront real estate on the Turks and Caicos. The beach is part of a national park and open to the public, but it’s lined with several hotels, like the Gansevoort and the Seven Stars. You could walk the whole length of the beach to get to the various restaurants and bars, but hotels typically restrict their beach loungers and cabanas to paying guests only. It’s not difficult to see why the beach is so beloved. The sand is baby-powder soft, and the water is warm and very shallow—adults can walk out quite far and still keep their heads above water. Since there are no lifeguards, the swimmable area is clearly marked. Those who aren’t staying on the beach should look for public access points around Grace Bay Road.
